Nakame no Temiyage

小さな庭

多くの人が行き交う、中目黒にある小さな庭のような空間。
庭に岩を置くように、什器を丁寧に配置する。什器は特定の用途に縛られることなく、多様な人や使い方を許容していく。
歴史ある建物と対比するように、新しい要素を重ねることで過去と未来を構成していく。
この場所が、日本の伝統的な「和」の精神を新しい解釈で発信していく場となることを目指しています。

A small garden

A small garden-like space in Nakameguro, where many people pass through each day.
Like placing stones in a traditional Japanese garden, each piece of furniture was carefully positioned.
Rather than being assigned to a fixed function, the fixtures are open to various uses and users, embracing flexibility.
By layering new elements in contrast with the historic architecture, the space weaves together past and future.
Our goal was to create a place that reinterprets the traditional Japanese spirit of wa—harmony—in a contemporary context, allowing it to be expressed and shared in new ways.
